Most people don’t wake up one morning and decide to completely rethink their career.
More often, it begins with a quiet question:
“Is the path I’m on still aligned with the life I want to build?”
That question became very real for me after more than 30 years in corporate leadership, when my position—along with hundreds of others—was eliminated at a Fortune 500 company.
What followed was a period of uncertainty, reflection, and reinvention that changed the way I think about work, security, and success.
Like many experienced professionals, I realized I wasn’t simply searching for another position. I was searching for clarity—clarity about what mattered most, how I wanted to live and work, and whether my next chapter truly aligned with my goals, values, and lifestyle.
That journey led me to work with a Career Ownership Coach® and ultimately transformed the direction of my life and career.
It also changed the way I think about Career Ownership.
For me, Career Ownership isn’t defined by whether someone owns a business.
It’s about intentionally taking ownership of your future instead of allowing uncertainty, circumstances, or someone else’s decisions to define it.
Sometimes Career Ownership means pursuing a new leadership opportunity.
Sometimes it means consulting, building a portfolio career, acquiring an established business, or becoming a business owner.
Sometimes it means choosing to stay exactly where you are—but doing so with renewed clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Whatever path you choose, my role is to help you make that decision intentionally.
